Acrylic sheet such as Perspex, Lucite or Plexiglas can be cut using saws which would normally be used on wood. A jigsaw or a circular saw can be used in most cases but a fine tooth blade is preferred. Metal cutting blades are preferred in a jigsaw or a blade with a negative rake is preferred in a circular saw. Dedicated acrylic cutting blades for jigsaws and circular saws are also now available and are widely used.
